SENIOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

From 2014 to 2022, he has been First Vice President at EFG International, participating in the building of the local presence and the further establishment of the Bank in the Greek market. Before joining EFG he was Senior Private Banker for Alpha Bank (2013-2014), following the acquisition of the Greek subsidiary of Credit Agricole, where he was Head of the Athens Wealth Management Center (2009-2013), founded by him in 2009.  He also spent 2 years as a Business Analyst, Deposits and Investment Products and as P.M.O. of the Retail Banking Development Program of Credit Agricole in Greece (2007-2009).  He started his professional career in National Bank of Greece Group, working as Relationship Manager for HNWI and Institutional clients at NBG Asset Management (2006-2007), after an internship within the Retail Network of the Bank during his studies (2003).

Thanos has extensive knowledge of Investment Advisory Services, providing his clients with a one stop shop service with multi booking capacity. He has deep expertise in Lombard Loans and Complex Credit Solutions, being able to provide tailor made solutions in a real open architecture environment. His strong communication skills enable him to develop high level relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Thanos holds a Master in Finance from the London School of Economics (2006) and a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Athens (2004). He is a Certified Portfolio Manager from the Bank of Greece, and has also served as Portfolio Manager at HFSF and Observer of in Attica Bank’s Board of Directors and BoD Committees (BRC, AC, RemCo, NomCo) (2022).

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Alumni Association of LSE from 2014 to 2018 and Head of its Think Tank, having communicated effectively several policy proposals. Thanos is accountable, self-motivated, honest, team player, solution driven, and speaks Greek, English and French.
